My family and friends know me as Jota, not Ysrael. Ysrael was the name my very religious mum chose, and which I’m very proud of. My middle name is Joel, and Jota is basically how you pronounce the letter J in Spanish, a nickname created by my father, who is a faithful atheist – who I love and respect very much for being a great father.
